All you need to do is choose the correct dishes and you will have a party that is the highlight of your local social scene and the talk of the town.
When planning your party, carefully devise a theme. This theme can be as simple as a superhero theme for a child’s birthday party or a complex theme for an elegant charity soirée. Whatever the occasion, choosing a theme will help you immensely when planning for and choosing the menu. Additionally, choose the overall feel for the party. Is it to be fun and casual or high culture and elegant?
Once you're through with the theme selection for the party then next task is to schedule the time and day for the party. Timing is of essence in a party, so be sure that you don't ask your guests to turn up for a dinner at five or host a tea party in the evening. Even the menu has to be decided in accordance with the time. For example if a party is scheduled for seven in the evening the guest will expect drinks and cocktails. While a gathering that takes place at eleven in the morning is kind of a party mixed with breakfast and lunch. In these kinds of parties people are offered the options to either opt for lunch or breakfast.
The food and menu set the real tone of the party. After you're through with the initial planning the next task is to select the menu. Menu entirely depends upon the theme of the party. One possibly cannot serve snails and lobsters in children's party, whereas serving cheese sandwiches and noodles at adult party might not be a good idea. Choosing the best menu is the sure shot recipe for success of your party.
If your party theme is to honor someone, for example birthday, shower, anniversary or even farewell parties, al
If you are planning a cocktail event or one with only hordeurves, carefully consider your options. Instead of choosing hard to eat items or foods that can quickly become messy, choose options that can be eaten cleanly with one hand in a single bite. Even though buffalo wings can be consumed in a single bite, they are simply too messy for guests to legitimately consume. Try mini quiche, bite sized baked goods, meat or cheese on crackers, or petite sandwiches for your party fare.
Your dessert should be stunning. Many parties now feature a variety of desserts instead of a single, main attraction. Even brides are having miniature wedding cakes for each guest instead of the large traditional cake.
So food and menu counts to be the success after the party is over as nobody remembers the decoration and arrangements but the tastier bite of that yummy cake, that mouth watering lobsters and chilled but wonderful champagne. If you have ensured that the food is good, rest assured that your party has made its mark where its matters the most. They might not remember the details of how striking you looked, or the painstaking detail with which the venue was decorated but they are sure going to remember for long the taste of "Melt-in-your-mouth" cakes, refreshing drinks, and the scrumptious chicken wings.
